“The $25 million bond proposal on the ballot is designed to fund necessary upgrades to school facilities, enhance learning spaces, and support the expansion of career and technical programs,” RLISD Superintendent Jim Rosebrock said. “These improvements are crucial as many of our middle and high school buildings, which were built in 1971, have not undergone major renovations in decades.”

As a result, essential infrastructure like electrical and HVAC systems need to be updated to ensure a safe and comfortable learning environment for our students. This bond will allow for the expansion of career programs in areas like welding, cybersecurity, and robotics, helping students gain valuable skills for today’s job market.

Remember, this bond is a unique opportunity, as solar farms will cover 64% of the cost. Early voting begins October 21, so take time to be informed and make your voice heard!
